2.1 Residence and Work Permit

For staying and working in Germany you need a Residence and Work Permit.
For getting a Residence Permit you have do your Registration at the Local Registration Office and to care for a visa
(please have a look at 1.1 Entry to Germany).
Address Registration- Place-of-abode certificate
- Register at the local district office
- Ideally within one week
- Even if living temporarily in a hotel
Required documents:- Passport
- Residence Permit
- Birth Certificate

or you'll have to contact the Registration Office ("Bürgeramt") of your district.
For a Work Permit you have to get into contact with the Central Labor Office.
Work Permit- Work Permit
- Right to work (when the applicant has already worked legally in Germany)
Required documents:- Application
- Certificate of Registration
- Passport (+ 2 photos)
- Statement from the company (e.g. duration, position etc.)
- Police Clearance
- Clean Bill of Health
